Laterno

Laterno is many things. Sometimes it is a state of mind, an inner place where one can get lost and find themselves again. Sometimes it is a valley, a landscape suspended between memory and imagination. Sometimes it is a river flowing slowly, carrying fragments of stories, emotions, and noise. And sometimes, it is a band.

The project was born almost by chance from the meeting of Daniele Cardinale (vocals) and Emiliano Amicosante (bass and guitar). What began as a vague and undefined idea was left to mature over time, and after nearly a year it finally found its direction and started to take shape. Drummer Giorgio Digiannantonio later joined the lineup, bringing energy and momentum to the band's early compositions. Completing the picture are guitarists Enzo Guadagno and Lucas Lassalle, on lead guitar and rhythm guitar respectively, helping to craft a sound built on layered textures, melodic openness, and electric tension. Laterno's sonic universe is rooted in alternative indie rock, while drawing inspiration from shoegaze atmospheres, dreamy reverbs, and echoes of 1990s post-grunge. The result is a balance between impact and introspection, noise and delicacy, instinct and exploration. Holding these elements together is producer Davide Rosati, who has become, in many ways, the band's sixth member. He gathers the ideas, shapes the creative chaos, and transforms scattered fragments into songs that speak with a shared voice. Laterno was not born in pursuit of trends, numbers, or expectations. It emerged from a need for expression, from the desire to turn emotions and visions into music. It is a project built without predefined ambitions, driven only by the will to create something genuine. Because, in the end, Laterno is exactly that: a place to journey through, guided by sound.
